This method of preparing the placenta for encapsulation is done while the placenta is “raw,” not steamed, and is dehydrated at a very low temperature. Most of my moms have reported feeling more of a "punch" in their desired benefits using the RAW method as compared to the more subtle steamed method. Many moms who have a desire to increase breast milk and energy immediately postpartum, or who have experienced postpartum hemorrhaging or have a history of it will often select the RAW method. Note: the placenta is dehydrated at a temperature that has been shown by research to kill off bacteria that may have been present at birth. With that being said, if you have an infection at birth, placenta consumption is not recommended. All capsules used are vegetarian.
Steaming the placenta involves first lightly steaming the placenta in water (I do not include herbs with the steaming unless requested) and then continuing on in the dehydration process. Most moms who choose this method feel a more subtle shift in their benefits, rather than the "punch" that some moms experience with RAW. Note: the placenta is steamed and dehydrated at a temperature that has been shown by research to kill off bacteria that may have been present at birth. With that being said, if you have an infection at birth, placenta consumption is not recommended. All capsules used are vegetarian.
Salve

$35, 4oz
This has quickly become my most popular add-on item for placenta products! It is as close as you will find to a miracle cream. Infused with placenta powder, this cream has all sorts of calming, soothing, and healing agents in it. It can be used as a nipple cream, for hemorrhoids or perennial tearing, diaper rash (cloth diaper compatible!), skin irritations, and much more! This is also a wonderful cream to help heal cesarean section incisions after the wound has closed to help lessen scarring, itching, and discomfort. Like I said, miracle cream!
Tincture

$35, 4oz
Putting part of your placenta in tincture form is another way to stretch out its longevity. A small portion of placenta is added to 100-150 proof alcohol and aged for 6 weeks postpartum. Some of the benefits include, with just a few drops, hormone stabilization in your postpartum cycles, less bleeding during those cycles, energy, and for menopause years down the road. Tinctures can be stored indefinitely, and come in a dropper bottle with dosage suggestions.
Frozen Cubes/Smoothie

$120
Placenta cubes?! YEAH! It's not as strange as it sounds. If you aren't a fan of swallowing pills, this is a great option for you. I can prep your placenta and cut it up into cubes that are then frozen, to be used once a day in a blender whether you are making a smoothie or juicing.
